The house is located in the historic centre of Évora and was built in the late 1990s.
The spaces are small and develop on different levels: the hall, the kitchen and the bedroom are on the same level and 40cm higher, the bathroom, the living room and the terrace.
From the entrance hall we see, through a door, the terrace with views over the city wall, the backyards and terraces of the neighbours.
Our purpose is to allow the inhabitants to live in a simpler and more intense way, enhancing the relationship with the exterior space. To do this, we have redefined the two levels of the house: the hall and the kitchen are on the same level and the remaining spaces are now at the level + 40cm.
Upon entering the house, we now feel that the terrace is the continuation of the living room and that the air and natural light are the materials that allow the interaction between the interior and exterior spaces to be a reality.
